Features

The DSB 550 has a different construction than a standard SIB. This boat is fully inflatable, both bottom and tubes. The optional roll bottom is not a substantial construction part of the boat. The boat can also be sailed without this bottom. The construction is most comparable to a Catamaran or a Zapcat. The inflatable bottom is above the water surface. Due to the tube diameter of 55 cm and its length-width ratio, the DSB 550 is extremely fast in planing and manoeuvrable.

Engine power

The DSB 550 were originally made as Work Pioneer boats for the Dutch & German Army. The heavy transom and the extremely heavy quality Hypalon construction ensure that this boat is suitable for up to 40 hp. From 8 hp this boat goes into planing. With a capacity of 30-40 hp, wakeboarding and water skiing are no problem.

Materials

The Boat Skin is made of one of the thickest quality Hypalon in a 5-layer design. The 10 separate air chambers ensure extremely high safety and security. The Roll deck made of Anti-slip waterproof Plywood provides extra protection for the inflatable bottom.

MOTORIZATION

Suitable for Longshaft outboard motors from 6-40 hp. Speeds from 18 to 60 km per hour.
SELF BAILERS

Optional 2x built-in self-dischargers. These are above the waterline so that they work while sailing and when stationary and do not require operation.
BOTTOM CONSTRUCTION

The fully inflatable base consisting of 6 tubes divided over 2 air chambers can provide a comfortable working situation when used without the roller deck.
APPLICATION

In use at a water sports event as tour boats.

 
DRAFT

Due to the very shallow draft of approximately 10 cm, landing on the beach is the easiest way to moor.
